Key Points

  • CrowdStrike’s Falcon platform is one of the cybersecurity industry’s best all-in-one enterprise solutions.

  • On Nov. 3, chief executive officer George Kurtz revealed a new product that will help organizations safely deploy artificial intelligence agents at scale.

  • CrowdStrike stock is expensive right now, but investors who hold it for the long term might still yield positive returns.

CrowdStrike (NASDAQ: CRWD) is one of the world’s largest cybersecurity vendors. Its Falcon platform is a holistic, all-in-one solution for securing the entire enterprise, from cloud networks to endpoints. The company continues to expand Falcon by introducing new features that will protect customers from the growing threats posed by artificial intelligence (AI).

At CrowdStrike’s Fal.Con conference in Europe on Nov. 3, chief executive George Kurtz announced a revolutionary new product called the AI Kill Switch, which allows enterprises to seize full control over the AI agents in their networks.

Missed AI’s “Act 1”? Act 2 Could Be 15x Bigger. Most investors think they missed the AI boat because they didn’t buy Nvidia in 2005. But according to our analysts, we’re only at the end of “Act 1″—the R&D phase. “Act 2” is the global rollout. Continue »

This product will be a game-changer not only for CrowdStrike, but potentially for the entire AI industry. Here’s why.

The Kill Switch could accelerate AI deployment

AI is transforming the threat landscape. Hackers are using the technology to constantly probe corporate networks for vulnerabilities, but businesses are also placing themselves at risk every time they deploy AI chatbots, agents, and other applications.

Agents, for instance, can autonomously perform assigned tasks, but they often require a deep level of access to an organization’s sensitive data and digital assets to do so. Hackers are using sophisticated techniques like prompt injection to compromise them, where they disguise their malicious requests as genuine commands to trick agents into handing over sensitive information.

CrowdStrike’s Falcon Guardian — an AI Detection and Response (AIDR) platform — already offers several tools to combat these threats. It tracks every input and output from trusted agents within the enterprise, which increases the odds of catching malicious behavior. It also inventories every AI application, so it immediately knows if an unauthorized agent is roaming the network.

But the AI Kill Switch is Falcon Guardian’s newest weapon, and it’s revolutionary. It allows the human security decision maker within the organization to immediately terminate a running agent at its source, cut off its network access, and prevent it from running again. It’s the first time enterprises will have full control over their agent fleet, and it’s only possible because the Falcon platform is so deeply entrenched in every network and endpoint.

When it comes to deploying powerful technologies, confidence comes from control, so tools like the AI Kill Switch could accelerate enterprise AI adoption.

CrowdStrike’s AI products are experiencing rapid demand

CrowdStrike had $5.84 billion in annual recurring revenue (ARR) at the end of its fiscal 2027 second quarter (ended July 31), a 25% increase from the year-ago period. It was the fourth-straight quarter in which ARR growth accelerated.

AI products are driving that incredible momentum. The ARR attributable to AIDR, specifically, almost tripled compared to the first quarter just three months earlier, so there is a mind-boggling amount of demand for Falcon Guardian and its expanding suite of tools.

Should investors buy CrowdStrike stock?

Before investors race out and buy CrowdStrike stock, they should consider its valuation. It’s trading at a price-to-sales (P/S) ratio of 46.6 as I write this on Nov. 4, making it the most expensive name in the cybersecurity industry — and it’s not particularly close. For some perspective, Palo Alto Networks is CrowdStrike’s closest competitor, and its P/S ratio is just 23.1.

CrowdStrike is also seven-times as expensive as the Nasdaq-100 index, which has a P/S ratio of 6.3, so it looks heavily overvalued compared to a group of America’s highest-quality technology companies. Simply put, investors who are hoping for strong returns in the next 12 months or so might be left disappointed, because CrowdStrike’s valuation leaves very little room for upside.

However, CrowdStrike believes it can grow its ARR to $20 billion by fiscal 2036, so investors who are willing to hold its stock for at least the next 10 years can still do well if they buy it today. That forecast might even be conservative considering CrowdStrike predicts its addressable market will be worth $325 billion by calendar year 2030.

Plus, the AI industry is still evolving, so there’s no telling how many new opportunities will arise over the next decade.
