60 years ago today, Gibson guitars launched its Flying V electric guitar, with a radical, futuristic body design and powerful sound that became a favorite of Albert Collins, Jimi Hendrix, Dave Davies, Marc Bolan and ZZ Top’s Billy Gibbons.
